The heart of the Pano System is the Pano Device, a whole new class of desktop computing hardware. Pano Devices are referred to as "zero clients" because, unlike traditional thin clients, they have no CPU, no memory, no operating system, no drivers, no software and no moving parts.

Pano Direct Service, also known as Pano DAS, is a lightweight Windows service residing within each desktop virtual machine that extends the system bus across the network, linking peripherals attached to the Pano Device to the unmodified Windows drivers installed in the virtual machine operating system.

Pano Manager ensures a secure and reliable login process by integrating tightly with directory services such as Microsoft Active Directory. Rather than maintain a separate database of users that might get out of sync, it queries the directory service directly during each login attempt.
